Experience the 4-D, immersive theatre-in-the-round

Pehonan is a Cree word meaning gathering place. Our Pehonan Theatre uses a 360-degree screen and 4-D effects in the film Our People Our Province, which celebrates the political and social history of Alberta.

Our People Our Province

Join Princess Louise Caroline Alberta, fourth daughter of Queen Victoria and our province's namesake, on a magical journey through Alberta's history! The 11-minute film features musical contributions from Alberta artists and follows the story of Alberta's development from our indigenous origins to settlement and the major political shifts of the 20th century. Brave the elements as you watch Alberta's history unfold before your eyes. From the winds of the dust bowl prairies to the snows of an Alberta winter you'll be blown away by the Pehonan Theatre's special effects.

The Pehonan Theatre seats up to 80 people and is accessible to visitors with limited mobility. Our People Our Province is available for viewing in English or in French. The film is not advisable for those with sensitivity to flashing lights, loud noises and/or artificial smoke.
