FUR: The Fabric of our Nation
April 25 to July 3, 2018
Free, nonticketed event
The Canada we know today is rooted in the fur trade.
The fur trade sustained nations and nurtured life for centuries. The exhibition traces fur trade expansion across the prairies into what is now the province of Alberta. FUR: The Fabric of our Nation exists at the intersection of fashion and fur trade, and examines particular times and aspects of the Canadian fur trade through the lens of fur costume.
FUR: The Fabric of our Nation is curated in cooperation with the Costume Museum of Canada.
