When does the House resume each year?
The Government House Leader has until January 15 to file a calendar.
However, unless the calendar indicates otherwise the Assembly shall meet each year:
- for the Spring Sitting commencing on the second Tuesday in February and concluding no later than the first Thursday in June; and
- for the Fall Sitting commencing on the last Monday of October and concluding no later than the first Thursday in December.

Alberta Assembly TV
Alberta Assembly TV provides gavel-to-gavel coverage of all Chamber proceedings as well as many of the Assembly’s committee meetings. Alberta Assembly TV is now available to TELUS customers on Channel 843 and Shaw cable customers on Channel 930. Shaw BlueCurve customers can access Assembly TV on Channel 263.
Social Media
We invite you to watch Oral Question Period (OQP) on the Assembly social media channels. Live stream OQP at 1:30 p.m. throughout session on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
In person
We invite you to watch session in person at the Alberta Legislature Building from the public gallery. Groups are encouraged to book with Visitor Services for space availability.
Assisted listening devices (ALD): The Legislative Assembly of Alberta provides assisted listening devices to visitors who wish to watch their MLAs during House and/or committee proceedings. Visitors who are interested in this service are asked to identify themselves to security personnel at the pass desk on the fourth floor outside the public galleries of the Legislative Assembly Chamber and/or when attending a committee meeting on the second floor of the Edmonton Federal Building.
Closed captioning is available on the video stream of House proceedings. For visitors attending in person, iPads are available upon request to allow visitors the opportunity to view the stream and closed captioning when in the public galleries. (Please note that there is a 30-second delay between the live proceedings and the video stream.)
In addition and by prior arrangement through Visitor Services, arrangements can be made for an ASL interpreter to accompany visitors in the public galleries.

The Legislative Assembly Stream requires the use of Adobe Flash for its integrated stream player. Many Internet browsers have changed the way they are allowing/installing Adobe Flash.
If you are experiencing problems viewing the Assembly Stream, we recommend updating your browser to the latest version and install or check settings to enable Adobe Flash. As an alternative Legislative Stream is available from all mobile devices.

Note: Audio and video of House proceedings are archived and available following the end of each sitting day for the duration of the current Legislature. Historical Assembly proceedings are available in the Legislature Library. Coverage varies over time, but recordings are available from 1986 to 2015. Committee Proceedings
Note: Audio of committee proceedings is archived after each committee meeting and available for the duration of the current Legislature.
